Robert W. 'Exie' Mcconnell

Robert William ‘Exie’ McConnell, 75, of West North Street, died Friday, January 11, 2019 at his residence in New Castle. He was born in New Castle on February 18, 1943 the son of the late Charles and Margaret (Tucker) McConnell. Mr. McConnell was an engineer for CSX retiring after 30 years. He was an Army veteran serving stateside. Mr. McConnell was an avid Penn State and Steelers fan and loved everything New Castle for life.
He is survived by two children, Justin C. McConnell and his wife Tiffiney of Jacksonville, FL and Megan E. Carlisle and her husband Michael of Petal, MS, one sister, Janet Aquillo of Lancaster, OH, and four grandsons, Hutson and Harper McConnell and Cane and Cooper Carlisle.
Visitation will be held Thursday, January 17, 2019 from 2 PM to 4 PM at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue.
