Robert A. 'Sox' Orlando

Robert A. ‘Sox’ Orlando, 75, of W. Wabash Avenue in Mahoningtown, died on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh. He was born in New Castle, PA on May 30, 1949, the son of the late Albert ‘Babo’ and Helen (Mudrick) Orlando. Mr. Orlando worked for the City of New Castle in Public Works, retiring after 20 years. Bobby enjoyed playing baseball and softball all his life, and he was an avid sports fan. He loved watching his nephew coach the Mohawk High School Baseball team. Bobby was a sweet, loving, and giving brother, uncle, and great-uncle, who loved his family.

He is survived by one brother, John M. Orlando of New Castle, two sisters, Darlene Zingaro and her husband Marion and Diane Maiorano and her husband Nick all of New Castle, and a number of nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.

Visitation will be held Saturday, August 17, 2024, from 10 AM to 12 PM at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue. A blessing service will be celebrated Saturday, August 17, 2024 at 12:00 PM at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Deacon John Carran will officiate. Burial will be in St. Lucy Cemetery.
