Ronald A. Somma

Ronald A. Somma, 61 of Cunningham Avenue, died Thursday, May 03, 2018 at his home in New Castle. He was born December 18, 1956 in New Castle a son of the late Nicholas and Agnes (Vericella) Somma. He was married to Karen A. (Librizzi) Somma on October 1, 1983, she survives in New Castle. Mr. Somma worked in sales for Fulena Paving for over 20 years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and St. Vitus Church and was very active with the church and the festival. Ronny was also an avid Cleveland Browns fan, he enjoyed watching old movies, decorating everything, and going to yard sales. He was a former coach of the East Side Rams and he loved spending time with his family and grandchildren and loved walking his dog, Bella.

In addition to his wife he is survived by one daughter, Kayla Marie Valenti and her husband Michael of New Castle, one brother, Frank Somma and wife Cheryl of New Castle, one sister, Carol Beighley and husband Vern of New Castle, two grandchildren, Enzo and Catarina Valenti and his mother-in-law, Donna Librizzi.

Visitation will be held Sunday, May 6, 2018 from 3 PM to 6 PM at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, May 7, 2018 at 10:00 AM at St. Vitus Church. Father Zachary Galiyas of St. Vitus will officiate. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 AM. Burial will be in Parkside Cemetery.
