Ruth A. Singer

Ruth A. Singer, 96, formerly of Cadet Street, died Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at Haven Convalescent Home in New Castle. She was born in Evan City, PA, on November 26, 1928, the daughter of the late Emmitt D. and Mary M. (Herr) Ziegler. She was married to the late John M. Singer, who died May 9, 2005. Mrs. Singer was a former member of Paws and Taws and the YMCA. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, and doing puzzles.
She is survived by one sister, Lois McGinnis of Ligonier, PA, three brothers-in-law, L. Eugene Singer, Richard D. Singer, William Singer, and Butch Samuel Singer all of New Castle, three grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by one son, Stephen J. Singer.
Visitation will be held Friday, March 7, 2025, from 4 PM to 6 PM at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue. Funeral services will be celebrated Friday, March 7, 2025, at 6:00 PM. Rev. Gilbert will officiate. Burial will be in Castle View Memorial Gardens.
