Sandra J. Hudack

Sandra J. Hudack, 71, of Hazel Street, died Saturday, March 1, 2025, at UPMC Jameson Hospital in New Castle. She was born on September 7, 1953, in New Castle, the daughter of the late John and Margaret Book. She married Allan A. Hudack on April 28, 1994, he survives in New Castle. Mrs. Hudack was a teller at People’s Bank for 10 years. Then she worked at PA Rolling Mills in sales for 7 years and following that she worked at McBride-Shannon Insurance Company in sales and in the office for 8 years. She was also the owner of New Castle Costumes for a number of years. Sandy was a volunteer for the American Cancer Society and had a team for Paint the Town Pink called, “Our Little Angel Johnathan”, for many years. Above all, she loved her standard poodle, Marco, and her grandchildren the most.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, Jeffrey A. Brown of Sharon, PA, two grandchildren, Cassandra Smith and her husband Sean and Johnathan Brown and his fiancé Reina Smith, and three sisters, Edna Anderson, Betty Jane Uder, and Barbara Warsing.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by three sisters, Carol Book, Mary Mitchell, and Donna Stanich.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 5, 2025, from 3 PM to 6 PM at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue. Funeral services will be celebrated Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at 6:00 PM at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Rev. Richard Nero will officiate. Burial will be in Parkside Cemetery.
