Sandra Lee Taylor

Sandra Lee Taylor, 82, of Ryan Avenue, died Thursday, November 7, 2024, at UPMC Jameson Hospital in New Castle. She was born on October 8, 1942, in New Castle, the daughter of the late Edwin R. and Margaret (Stockman) Kroesen. She was married to the late Chuck C. Taylor, Sr., who died December 3, 2005. Mrs. Taylor enjoyed bingo, gambling, and cooking. Above all, she loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by six children, Peggy Montgomery and her husband Randy of New Castle, Tammy McLaren and her husband William of New Castle, Chester Smiley of New Castle, Jodi Smolnik of Patterson Heights, PA, Vicki Serrano of CA, and Michelle Shoaff of New Castle, one step-daughter, Jodylynn Taylor of New Castle, numerous grandchildren, a number of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, and one sister, Patricia A. Christofer and her husband Richard of New Castle. She is also survived by special friends and caregivers, Sherry and David.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by four sons, Timothy Smolnik, Charles Wojciechowski, infant twins, Edwin and Chuck Taylor, one step-son, Chuck C. Taylor, Jr., and three granddaughters, Samatha Wolosyzn, Brittani and Brooke Robertson,

Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 12, 2024, from 3 PM to 5 PM at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue. Funeral services will be celebrated Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at 5:00 PM at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Pastor William Ruppert will officiate. Burial will be in King’s Chapel Cemetery.
