Shawn D. Pounds, 34, of Stacie Lane in Edinburg, PA, died Sunday, September 15, 2024, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown, OH. He was born in New Castle on August 2, 1990, the son of the late Buddy Klaus and Tina Pounds, his parents precede him in death. Shawn was a prep cook working at several local restaurants and was also self-employed as a roofer. He enjoyed fixing and restoring cars and motorcycles, riding motorcycles, going camping, and the outdoors.
He is survived by one son, Alexander J. Pounds, one sister, Brittany N. Lilley and her husband Mark of Butler, PA, nieces and nephews, Landon Lilley and Peyton Lilley, his step-father, Terry Janiel of New Castle, and uncles and aunt, Chad Pounds, Frank Pounds, and Tracy Owens.
Visitation will be held Thursday, September 19, 2024, from 4 PM to 6 PM at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue. A funeral service will be celebrated Thursday, September 19, 2024, at 6:00 PM at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Rev. Matthew Bupp will officiate.
