Steve R. Rogers

Steve R. Rogers, 60, of Riverview Avenue, died Friday, December 27, 2024, at the Haven Convalescent Home. He was born in New Castle on January 13, 1964, the son of the late Donald Rogers and Marion (Myer) Hill. He worked in the warehouse at Consolidated Containers, retiring after 20 years. He was a United States Army Veteran for 18 years, serving in Germany and Stateside. He enjoyed playing poker. He is survived by two children, Samantha VanKirk and her husband Dave of Neely, OH, and Anthony Rogers of Butler, PA, one grandson, Logan Rogers, one brother, Donald Rogers of New Brighton, two sisters, Peggy Rogers and Joan Rogers both of New Castle, one sister in law, Minnie Bosela, his former spouse, Marylee Dennison, and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one brother, Robert Rogers, and one sister, Kay Rogers. There are no services at this time. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue.
