Susan J. Jefferson, 67, of Patterson Street, died on October 6, 2023 at her residence in New Castle. She was born on October 14, 1955 in New Castle, the daughter of Lewis and Alice (Capitola) Greenawalt. She was married to the late Paul T. Jefferson, who died on September 15, 2015. Mrs. Jefferson was a member of Prevailing Word World Outreach Center. She loved being a homemaker and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by four children, Ernie Fish Jr. and his girlfriend, Carla Lazar, Kisha Napier and her husband William, Randy Austin Jr., and Jaleesa Jefferson and her fiancé Matthew Peters all of New Castle, three brothers, Lewis Greenawalt Jr., Larry Greenawalt, and Jeff Greenawalt, four sisters, Darlene Jeffcoat, Marlene McCormick, Betty Lou Herb, and Sherri Cartwright, eleven grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Thursday, October 12, 2023 from 2 PM to 4 PM at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue. Funeral services will be celebrated Thursday, October 12, 2023 at 4:00 PM at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Pastor David Young will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Park Cemetery.
