Susan M. Simpkins Grigsby

Susan M. Simpkins Grigsby, 65, of W. Moody Avenue, died Saturday, February 15, 2025, at UPMC Hamot Medical Center in Erie, PA. She was born in Pittsburgh, PA, on September 23, 1959, the daughter of the late Clyde and Mary Catherine (Richards) Simpkins. Susan worked at Avalon Nursing Home as a dietary aid. She enjoyed making wreaths and crafts, and she loved to play cards and board games with her kids, especially Uno and Parcheesi. Above all, she loved all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by two children, Mary C. Simpkins Bartle and her husband Ben of New Castle, and Joseph A. Simpkins of New Castle, nine grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, one brother, John Simpkins, and one sister, Patricia Cartwright.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by three brothers, Robert Sedor, Claude Simpkins, and Charles Simpkins, and one sister, Cynthia Schuster.
There are no services scheduled at this time. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue.
