Thelma L. Morgan

Thelma L. Morgan, 97, formerly of Ellwood City, died Monday, March 9, 2020 at Haven Convalescent Home in New Castle. She was born in Ellwood City on November 11, 1922 a daughter of the late Joseph and Amelia (Mancenelli) DeTullio. She married the late John F. Morgan who died November 21, 1992. Mrs. Morgan was a homemaker and a member of Holy Redeemer Church. She enjoyed cooking and volunteering at Holy Redeemer Catholic School and Bazaar. She also loved spending time with her family. Mrs. Morgan’s family would like to thank the Haven Convalescent Home for their excellent care and 3 Rivers Hospice for their compassionate care.

Thelma is survived by three children, Dennis J. Morgan of Ellwood City, Gregory J. Morgan and wife Anna of New Castle and Amy Jo Capello and husband David of New Castle, five grandchildren, Jana Morgan, Leeann Connolly, Monica Tanner, Morgan Hileman  and Matthew Capello and four great grandchildren, Maverick Hileman, Lucas Morgan, Julianna Tanner and Marcus Tanner.

She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Fred, Dan and Adelmo DeTullio, and five sisters, Frances Ippolito, Antoinette Paglia, Theresa Masi, Emma Latiano, and Ann Tammaro.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 11, 2020 from 5 PM to 8 PM at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue, New Castle.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, March 12, 2020 at 12:00 PM at Holy Redeemer Church in Ellwood City. Burial will be in Holy Redeemer Cemetery.
