Thomas John Fontana, 51, of New Castle, died Thursday, November 9, 2017 in New Castle. He was born March 26, 1966 in New Castle, a son of Raymond and Arlene (Magliery) Fontana, his parents survive in New Castle. Mr. Fontana was a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and spent a year in Japan as a student, he spoke fluid Japanese and he also coached his sons youth football team in South Fayette for a number of years. In addition to his parents he is survived by his former wife, Lori (Piotrowski) Fontana Bridgeville, PA, one son, Anthony Fontana of Cleveland, OH, two daughters, Brianne Fontana and Allyson Fontana of Bridgeville, PA, two brothers, Louis Fontana and wife Roberta of Findlay, OH and Raymond Fontana and wife Janice of New Castle, two sisters, Ann Marie Ong and husband Paul of Strongsville, OH, and Mary Jo Lapinsky and husband Ryan of Raleigh, NC, and a number of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Louis and Philomena (Effinite) Fontana and his maternal grandparents, Thomas and Mary (Panella) Magliery. There are no visiting hours. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial, Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Camillus Church. Father Michael Peck of St. Camillus Church will be officiating. Entombment will be in the Parkside Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are by the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue.
