Thomas Anthony Micco, Jr., 88, of Churchill Rd., Hillsville, died Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at UPMC Jameson Hospital in New Castle. He was born February 27, 1930 in New Castle, a son of the late Thomas and Mary (Fagnilli) Micco, Sr. He married the love of his life, Eleanor (Donofrio) Micco on September 30, 1950, enjoying sixty years together, until she was taken from him in 2010. He was completely devoted to her and took wonderful care of her when her health was in decline. Thomas worked at Carbon Limestone as head of demolition for over thirty years. He enjoyed trips to the casinos and cheering on the Pittsburgh Pirates. He was a past member of the Struthers bowling league, the Johnson Club, and the St. Lucy Club. He was a member and served as an usher for many years at St. Lawrence Church, now Christ the King Parish. Spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren brought him the most joy.
He leaves to cherish his memory, one son, Thomas A. Micco, III and wife Barbara of Struthers, OH, two grandchildren. Thomas M. Micco and wife Beth, and Rebecca A. Lambert and husband Don, and two great grandchildren, Elliot and Mallory Micco. A special thank you to his nephew Sam Donofrio for all his love and support.
In addition to his parents and wife hee was preceded in death by his daughter, Mary Lou Micco, three brothers Harry, Andy, and Patsy Micco, and three sisters, Angeline Ragnelli, Florence Mancini, and Betty Villani.
Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue, on Monday, April 23, 2018 from 9 AM to 10 AM.
Blessing services will be held Monday, April 23, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Deacon John Carran will be officiating. Burial will be in the St. Lawrence Cemetery.
