Timothy F. Edmiston, 67, of Martha Street, passed away with his loving family around him on Saturday, December 23, 2023, at UPMC Jameson Hospital. He was born in New Castle on August 21, 1956, the son of the late Fred and Josephine (Bulisco) Edmiston. Tim was married to Leslie J. (Shoaff) Edmiston, she survives in New Castle. Tim worked for Universal Rundel, Central Heating and Plumbing, and Umbrella Construction. He was then a self-employed contractor until retirement, after over a 42 year career. Tim was hilarious and enjoyed making people laugh, having bonfires with his friends and family, remodeling, and household projects, and he loved being outdoors. He especially loved being with his friends and family.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by five children, Leah R. Rubenstein of Ambridge, PA, Robin E. Rubenstein of New Castle, Alex M. Rubenstein and his wife Gabbi of Pittsburgh, PA, and Josea A. Rubenstein of Baden, PA, one stepson, Sean Carcaise of Butler, PA, Four grandchildren, Ava Rubenstein, Faye Michaux, David Carcaise, and Kai’ro Williams, and one sister, Birdie Gilson and her husband, Rodney of New Castle.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one sister, Rosemary Albert.
A Celebration of Life will be held by the family at a later date. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society or UPMC Hilman Cancer Center.
