Viola M. Cast

Viola Marie Cast, 90, of North Jackson, Ohio, formerly of New Castle, PA, died Saturday, December 29, 2018 at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown, Ohio. She was born December 5, 1928 in Youngstown, Ohio a daughter of the late Louis and Angeline (DelQuadri) Peluso. She was married to the late William Cast who died June 9, 2002. Mrs. Cast was an office clerk for the Jewel Tea Co. for many years. She also worked at Islay’s Dairy in Youngstown, the Bassest Co. and New Castle Refractories in New Castle. She was a member of St. Mary's Church, St. Mary's Little Flower Club and 500 Club and the Union Township Homemakers.

She is survived by a number of nieces and nephews who affectionately called her ‘Wowie’.

She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Vincenza Sarocka, Anna Wellington, and Rita Pitoscia.

Visitation will be held at St. Mary's Church, 124 N. Beaver St., New Castle, PA  16101, on Thursday, January 3, 2019 from 11 AM to 12 PM.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, January 3, 2019 at 12:00 PM at St. Mary's Church. Father Victor J. Molka, Jr. of St. Mary’s Church will be officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary’s Church. Funeral arrangements are by the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue, New Castle.  Burial will be in the Parkside Cemetery in New Castle.
