Wanda L. Valenti

Wanda Lea Valenti, 67, of Annette Drive, Scott Township, died Friday, July 20, 2018 at her home in New Castle. She was born August 18, 1950 in Johnstown, Pennsylvania a daughter of the late James and Pauline (Callahan) Platt. She was married to Frank Valenti, III on November 25, 1968, he survives in New Castle. Mrs. Valenti worked in the kitchen at Golden Hill Nursing Home and operated a cleaning service retiring after 30 years. She enjoyed reading, dancing, loved music, going to the casino and taking her children and grandchildren to the movies and spending time with them.

In addition to her husband she is survived by two sons, Frankie Valenti, IV and wife Jennifer of New Castle, and Jimmy M. Valenti and wife Susan of New Castle, five grandchildren, Dalton, Zachary, Bekah, Trever, and Tyler, one brother, William Platt of New Castle, and four sisters, Margaret Lynch of New Castle, Joyce Tomer of Akron, OH, Kathy Coates of New Castle, and Pam Coleman of Bear, DE.

She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Kenny, Arthur, and Ronald Platt, and one sister, Nancy Coates.

Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue on Monday, July 23, 2018 from 4 PM to 7 PM.

Funeral services will be held Monday, July 23, 2018 at 7:00 P.M. at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home. Rev. Matthew Bupp will be officiating.  Burial will be in the Savannah Cemetery.
