William N. Collins, 81, of Center Church Road in Ellwood City, died Sunday, September 8, 2024, at his residence. He was born in Ellwood City on October 12, 1942, the son of the late Everett and Ethel (Hogue) Collins. Mr. Collins married Shirley L. (Gibson) Collins on October 20, 1961, she survives at home. Mr. Collins worked as a welder for Rexnord Conveyers for 12 years, and then worked for the PA Turnpike as a toll collector and custodian, retiring after 24 years. He enjoyed hunting, mowing his yard, and above all, loved family picnics and gatherings.

In addition to his wife, he survived by one daughter, Cindy Caleris and her husband John of Ellwood City, one sister-in-law, Hazel Ford of Ellwood City, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by three brothers Frank Collins and his wife Marion, Robert Collins and his wife Shirley, and Donald Collins and his wife Shirley, and one sister, Nettie Myers and her husband Elmer.

Visitation will be held Thursday, September 12, 2024, from 4 PM to 6 PM at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue. A funeral service will be celebrated Friday, September 13, 2024 at 12:00 PM at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Pastor Karl Moore of Keys To The Kingdom Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Hermon Cemetery. The family would like to thank the wonderful caring people at Anova Hospice. We also want to thank our incredible home care aides. You ladies made it possible for him to stay home where he wanted to be.
