William H. Smock, III, 75, of Edison Avenue, died Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at UPMC Jameson Hospital in New Castle. He was born February 18, 1943 in Leavenworth, Kansas the son of the late William and Ruth (Winchell) Smock, Jr. He was married to the late Cathy L. (Roberts) Smock who died April 30, 2009. Mr. Smock was a truck driver for Metropolitan Trucking and Johns & Frenz Trucking retiring after 30 years. He enjoyed fishing, listening to oldies music, watching TV, and eating at Bill's Sandwich Shop. He also loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by three children, Gregory J. Smock, Sr. of New Castle, Jason A. Smock of New Castle, and Heather R. Smock of New Castle, and five grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his son Michael Smock, and his sister Betty Brown.
Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 from 12 PM to 1 PM.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Rev. Dennis Bupp will be officiating.
